Increased yield and yield stability in variety mixtures of spring barley [PDF]
In the DARCOF II BAR-OF project, six variety mixtures are studied in organic as well as conventional growing systems in the period 2002 to 2005. The focus has been on competitive ability of the component varieties in addition to their disease resistance.

Results of the Childhood Cancer and Leukaemia Group's United Kingdom Relapsed Wilms Tumour Trial
ABSTRACT Background The United Kingdom relapsed Wilms tumour (UKW‐R) trial aimed to improve the historically low survival rates after relapse of Wilms tumour (WT) through a prospective national risk‐stratified protocol. The trial also evaluated efficacy and toxicity of high‐dose melphalan.

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Wheat Yield and Yield Stability of Eight Dryland Crop Rotations
Core Ideas Wheat yields are greater following fallow than following crops. The most stable systems are WF(NT), WF(CT), and WMF.The least stable systems are WCMF, WM, and WCF.The probability of obtaining a yield less than 1500 kg ha‐1 is low for wheat after fallow.Risk‐averse farmers wishing to intensify a WF system should consider WMF. The winter wheat (

ABSTRACT Hemoglobinopathies are prevalent globally; diagnosis is complex in high genetic admixture populations like Brazil. We report, in two pediatric siblings, the first documented cases in Brazil of heterozygosity for hemoglobin (Hb) O‐Arab with coinheritance of α‐thalassemia (αα/−α4.2; −α3.7/−α4.2), resulting in microcytic and hypochromic anemia ...
