YSZ/Ni–YSZ semi-cells shaped by electrophoretic deposition
Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2007Abstract The manufacturing of Ni/YSZ self-supported films by aqueous electrophoretic deposition (EPD) for fuel cell applications is reported. The amount and the additives used in an aqueous suspension of Ni and YSZ powders have been optimized to obtain homogeneous and crack-free Ni/YSZ films on graphite substrates.

Porous NiO–YSZ and Ni–YSZ composites fabricated using NiO–YSZ composite nanopowders and WO3 additive
Materials Characterization, 2020Abstract NiO–YSZ composite nanopowders were synthesized through a hydrothermal process without an additional mixing of NiO and YSZ nanopowders. Porous Ni–yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) composites, Ni–YSZ composites, with high porosity (25.0–32.8%) were fabricated by reducing NiO-YSZ composites in (94% Ar + 6% H2) gas.

New insights on the role of YSZ in a NiAl2O4/Al2O3–YSZ catalyst
Applied Catalysis A: General, 2015Abstract Yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) role as co-support in alumina (Al2O3) supported Al–Ni spinel (NiAl2O4) was investigated from three perspectives: (a) influence on catalyst morphology, (b) influence on catalyst crystalline phases, and (c) role during diesel steam reforming tests.

Spray pyrolysis deposition of YSZ and YSZ–Pt composite films
Applied Surface Science, 2005Abstract In the present paper procedures are described for spray pyrolysis deposition of YSZ films (0.1–30 μm in thickness) with 8 or 15 mole % of YO 1.5 on different substrates. Aqueous or ethylene glycol solutions of Y–Zr-citrates were used as starting material and O 2 as carrier gas.

Fabrication and Characteristics of YSZ–YSZ/Al2O3 Double-Layer TBC
Oxidation of Metals, 2011A novel YSZ–YSZ/Al2O3 (YSZ means 6 wt% yttria partially stabilized zirconia) double-layer thermal barrier coating was fabricated using composite sol–gel and pressure filtration microwave sintering (PFMS) technologies. In this double-layer coating, the top layer was YSZ ceramics with a thickness of about 150 μm and the bottom layer was composed of micro-

Thermophysical Properties of YSZ and Ni-YSZ as a Function of Temperature and Porosity
2008The thermal diffusivity, heat capacity, thermal conductivity, coefficient of thermal expansion adn elastic properties of Ni-YSZ and YSZ are reported in the temperature interval between 20C and 1000C. Specific heat capacity (Cp)and thermal diffusivity (a) were determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and by the laser flash method ...

Agglomeration behavior of nickel particles on YSZ and TiO2-doped YSZ electrolytes
Journal of Power Sources, 2012Abstract Agglomeration behavior of nickel thin films on the yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) and TiO 2 doped-YSZ electrolytes under a reducing condition and at solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) operating temperatures was investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and scanning probe microscopy (SPM) to clarify whether this method is appropriate to
