Trans-Z-Source Inverters

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2010
This paper extends the impedance-source (Z-source) inverters concept to the transformer-based Z-source (trans-Z-source) inverters. The original Z-source inverter (ZSI) employs an impedance network of two inductors and two capacitors connected in a special arrangement to interface the dc source and the inverter bridge.

Z-Source B4 Inverters

2007 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2007
Inverters designed using reduced active semiconductor devices can be of interest to the industry because of their lower cost and enhanced reliability linked to their less complex gating and control circuitries. Despite their simplicity, most of the reduced component count inverters reported to date can only either perform voltage-buck or boost ...

Extended-Boost $Z$-Source Inverters

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2009
The Z-source inverter has gained popularity as a single-stage buck-boost inverter topology among many researchers. However, its boosting capability could be limited, and therefore, it may not be suitable for some applications requiring very high boost demand of cascading other dc-dc boost converters.

Single-phase Z-source inverter

2008 Twenty-Third Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2008
This paper proposes a novel single-phase Z-source inverter topology with input and output sharing the same ground. It is simple in structure and only utilizes two switches while keep the voltage transfer ratio the same as the full-bridge inverter.

Typical Transformer-Based Z-Source/Quasi-Z-Source Inverters

2016
This chapter discusses the typical trans and LCCT Z-source/quasi-Z-source inverters (ZSIs/qZSIs). Their configurations, working operations, voltage and current principles, and simulation results are presented, providing a demonstration of the investigation of other extended transformer-based ZSIs/qZSIs.

Z-source online UPS

The 6th Power Electronics, Drive Systems & Technologies Conference (PEDSTC2015), 2015
The online uninterruptible power supply is a double conversion apparatus that provides electricity when the grid fails. Also input power factor correction, output voltage regulation, reduction of total harmonic distortion, electrical isolation and power quality improvement are the main task of online UPS. In conventional UPSs the peak of output voltage

A Family of Z-source and Quasi-Z-source DC-DC Converters

2009 Twenty-Fourth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2009
This paper presents a family of four-quadrant dc-dc converters with minimal number of switches and passive devices. These converters employ a Z-source or a quasi-Z-source network with two active switches to provide four quadrant operation which means bipolar output voltage and bidirectional current operation.
