Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drive Based on Maximum boost control Z-source SVPWM
This paper presents a Z-source inverter drive system for permanent magnet synchronous motor. A maximum boost control strategy for space vector PWM is presented for controlling the ride though ability of the converter.

Multi-terminal HVDC grids with inertia mimicry capability [PDF]
The high-voltage multi-terminal dc (MTDC) systems are foreseen to experience an important development in the next years. Currently, they have appeared to be a prevailing technical and economical solution for harvesting offshore wind energy. In this study,

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

In this paper, a new topology for cascaded multilevel inverter based on quasi-Z-source converter is proposed. In the proposed topology the magnitude of output DC voltage is not limited to the sum of magnitude of DC voltage sources.

Testing of Milliwatt Power Source Components [PDF]
A milliwatt power source (MPS) has been developed to satisfy the requirements of several potential solar system exploration missions. The MPS is a small power source consisting of three major components: a space qualified heat source (RHU), a thermopile

Switched Inductor Z-Source AC-DC Converter
Due to the increasing amount of applications of power electronic ac-dc converters, it is necessary to design a single-stage converter that can reliably perform both buck and boost operations. Traditionally, this can be achieved by double-stage conversion (ac/dc-dc/dc) which ultimately leads to less efficiency and a more complex control system.

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

A novel bidirectional DC-DC converter
For shortages of traditional Buck-Boost converters such as limited output voltage, poor stability, low voltage gain and so on, a novel bidirectional DC-DC converter was designed which used Z-source network to connect DC input power and load.

Double Integral Sliding Mode Control of Continuous Gain Four Quadrant Quasi-Z-Source Converter
A constant frequency double-integral sliding mode controller (DISMC) is proposed for the regulation of a four-quadrant continuous gain dc–dc converter based on quasi- $Z$ -source (ZS) topology.
