Stereochemically defined inositol pyrophosphate isomers (PP‐InsP4) were synthesized and assigned by NMR spectroscopy using a chiral solvating agent. In the form of isotopically labeled standards, they were applied in CE‐MS‐based profiling of plant extracts and kinase assays, enabling structural reassignment and functional insight into enzymatic ...

Influence of salicylic acid on phytochelatin synthesis in Zea mays during Cd stress [PDF]
: Presoaking maize (Zea mays) seeds in salicylic acid (SA) reduces damage caused by cadmium. In the present work the possible role of phytochelatins (PCs) in SA-mediated protection against Cd toxicity was investigated. Seeds were presoaked in 0.5 mM SA,

Vibrio alginolyticus NBRC 15630, Vibrio parahaemolyticus ATCC 17802, Shewanella algae DW01, and Shewanella algae ATCC 51192 bacterial strains were found in the Mud crab brood and egg samples. All isolates were found to be sensitive to cefotaxime, chloramphenicol, gentamicin, and nitrofurantoin antibiotics.

ABSTRACT Maize is an important crop worldwide with approximately 1200 million tons consumed and a market size worth $143 billion. Environmental stress influence production of crops and mitigating these ensures optimum production. Dicarboxylic acids are known as emulsifying agents that mitigate various stresses in plants.
