The Zeldovich Number: A Universal Dimensionless Measure for the Electromagnetic Field
In this paper we extend the Zeldovich formula, which was originally derived for the free electromagnetic field and was interpreted as the number of photons. We show that our extended formula gives a universal dimensionless measure of the overall strength

Comparison of Commonly Applied Outcome Inventories as Measures of General Internalizing Pathology in Psychological Therapies. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Measuring general factors to capture severity of psychopathology broadly can be useful for assessing treatment outcomes of psychological therapies. Namely, general factors are suitable for broadband measurement, which has become increasingly important due to efforts to standardize outcome measurement.

Design and performance of a toroidal radiofrequency volume coil with intrinsic electromagnetic interference rejection for low-field portable Halbach-based MRI systems. [PDF]
Abstract Purpose One of the intrinsic limitations of low‐field MRI is low signal‐to‐noise ratio, which can be further reduced by electromagnetic interference (EMI) due to the lack of a Faraday shielded room. To address this issue, we propose a novel radiofrequency (RF) coil design that is inherently less sensitive to EMI while maintaining high receive ...

On the Number Density of Sunyaev-Zeldovich Clusters of Galaxies [PDF]
If the mean properties of clusters of galaxies are well described by the entropy-driven model, the distortion induced by the cluster population on the blackbody spectrum of the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation is proportional to the total amount of intracluster gas while temperature anisotropies are dominated by the contribution of clusters of ...

Premixed Combustion in Boundary Layers for Moderate Values of the Zeldovich Numbers [PDF]
The classical problem of the ignition and flame generation of combustible premixed gases by a hot flat pJate is analyzed by asymptotic techniques for moderate values of the Zeldovich numbers. For temperatures of the plate smaller than the adiabatic flame temperature it was found that the corrections to the zeroth-order solution (Zeldovich approximation)

Measuring the Mach Number of the Universe via the Sunyaev-Zeldovich Effect [PDF]
We introduce a new statistic to measure more accurately the cosmic sound speed of clusters of galaxies at different redshifts. This statistic is evaluated by cross-correlating cosmic microwave background (CMB) fluctuations caused by the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect from observed clusters of galaxies with their redshifts.

On the calculation of a model of a three-dimensional turbulent diffusion plume
In this paper a three-dimensional model of diffusion combustion is presented in the case of the outflow of a combustible gas mixture from a rectangular nozzle and propagating in a heated (with a passing) air flow.

An analytical study of the effects of vaporization of twodimensional laminar droplets on a triple flame [PDF]
The structure of triple flame propagation in combustion systems, containing uniformly distributed volatile fuel droplet was analyzed. The analysis was established for a one-step irreversible reaction with an asymptotic limit, where the value of the ...

Study of The Vapor Thermo-Compressor to Reduce Energy Consumption in the Sugar Production Line using Computational Fluid Dynamics [PDF]
IntroductionLarge industrial factories often discharge significant quantities of low-pressure steam (dead steam) into the atmosphere, which causes energy losses.

Effect of mole weight ratio of reaction on propagation of cellular detonations
The propagation of two-dimensional cellular detonations is investigated numerically using a one-step reversible reaction model. The effect of the average mole weight ratio WB/WA of the product and reactant on the one-dimensional Zeldovich–von Neumann ...
