Zeotropic mixtures study in plate heat exchangers and ORC systems
To our best knowledge, there are no correlations in the scientific literature to predict the twophase heat transfer coefficients of Hydrofluoroethers pure fluids and zeotropic mixtures used in plate heat exchangers. This work has allowed the development of evaporation and condensation correlations for such fluids.

ABSTRACT This study investigates binary zeotropic mixtures of R744 (CO₂) blended with eco‐friendly refrigerants for medium‐high temperature heat pumps, comparing them with conventional R744/R134a systems. All mixtures meet 60–80 K temperature lift requirements under low‐temperature conditions. A genetic algorithm optimized system parameters using fixed

Numerical Study of the Condensation Length of Binary Zeotropic Mixtures
AbstractHeat exchangers are the main components in refrigeration and liquefaction systems, particularly in the liquefaction of natural gas, where the gas being condensed is a multicomponent mixture. The study of the two-phase condensation region is important for the design of heat exchangers. This paper studies heat and mass transfer characteristics of

Abstract In this work, we present the first algorithm for identifying the minimum reboiler vapor duty requirement for a general multi‐feed, multi‐product (MFMP) distillation column separating ideal multicomponent mixtures. This algorithm incorporates our recently developed shortcut model for MFMP columns.

Flow Condensation of Low-GWP Zeotropic Mixtures Inside 5 mm OD Micro-Finned Tube
In response to stringent rules inhibiting the implementation of refrigerants with high global warming impact, alternative candidates should undergo assessments to prove their viability. The mixtures R450A and R454B, being the center of the current focus,

Pareto‐Optimal Treatment of Uncertainties in Model‐Based Process Design and Operation
It is described how to handle here‐and‐now (i.e., process design‐related) and wait‐and‐see (i.e., process operation‐related) decisions in a multicriteria framework. This approach exploits the adjustability for the wait‐and‐see variables while at the same time respecting optimality guarantees on process key performance indicators.

Improving the performance of booster heat pumps using zeotropic mixtures [PDF]
Abstract This study demonstrated an increase in the thermodynamic performance of a booster heat pump, which was achieved by choosing the working fluid among pure and mixed fluids. The booster heat pump was integrated in an ultra-low-temperature district heating network with a forward temperature of 40 °C to produce domestic hot water, by heating part
