APF-based cancellation of the source-end zero sequence current
2010 International School on Nonsinusoidal Currents and Compensation, 2010Analytical assessment of the successful neutral current cancellation methods is the main goal of this paper. Furthermore, proposing a generalized time-domain method is pursued in order to achieve full cancellation of the source-end neutral current under unbalanced and distorted load voltage waveforms.

Zero-Sequence Current Distribution Along Transmission Lines
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1969The zero-sequence current distribution among ground wires and the ground-return path of overhead transmission lines is subject to change in the vicinity of a ground fault and the feeding point. This paper introduces the concepts used in connection with the end-effect phenomena of transmission lines and describes the necessity for solving the end-effect

Wavelet Based Induction Motor Fault Diagnosis Using Zero Sequence Current
Journal of Computational and Theoretical Nanoscience, 2017Induction motor stator fault is diagnosed by applying Discrete Wavelet transform on zero sequence components. The single phasing stator fault is created and diagnosed in the induction motor model developed in stationary reference frame, under varying load conditions. The stator inter-turn incipient fault is created and diagnosed in the induction motor

Fault Section Identification Based on Per-unit Zero Sequence Current
12th IET International Conference on Developments in Power System Protection (DPSP 2014), 2014Although single phase to ground fault location in non-solid grounded networks has been studied for many years and a lot of research has been done, yet adequate solution for direct fault location of radial distribution network hasn't been made, especially for the distribution network with the neutral point grounded via arc suppression coil.

THE INFLUENCE OF ZERO SEQUENCE CURRENTS ON PHASE CURRENT REDUCTION IN ASYMMETRICALLY TAPPED SYSTEMS
SSRN Electronic JournalThis paper addresses the counter-intuitive phenomenon of phase current reduction in a three-phase system with asymmetrical tap changer positions. Specifically, the study examines cases where a transformer's phase B tap is stuck and is unable to switch while phases A and C are at lower taps.

Soil resistivity: Field tests and estimation of zero-sequence currents
2017 IEEE AFRICON, 2017In this study, field measurements of soil resistivity using the 4-point Wenner test method were conducted in several parts of Gauteng, a province in South Africa. The data obtained were used to determine soil resistance values, and therefore to estimate zero-sequence current for a DigSilent™ simulated ground fault.
