Subsequence Sums of Zero-sum free Sequences II

open access: yesArs Comb., 2009
Let $G$ be a finite abelian group, and let $S$ be a sequence over $G$. Let $f(S)$ denote the number of elements in $G$ which can be expressed as the sum over a nonempty subsequence of $S$. In this paper, we determine all the sequences $S$ that contains no zero-sum subsequences and $f(S)\leq 2|S|-1$.

LONGEST MINIMAL ZERO-SUM SEQUENCES OVER AN INTERVAL

open access: yes, 2019
A zero-sum sequence is a collection of integers that sum to 0 (e.g., {5,-3,-2}). A zero sum sequence is minimal if it does not (properly) contain another zero sum sequence (e.g., {4,1,-2,-2,1} is not minimal).

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.

Effects and optimization of pilot sequence length on rate in multiuser massive MIMO FDD system

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2018
The effect of pilot sequence length on the asymptotic performance of the ergodic rate was investigated for the multiuser massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) frequency division duplexing (FDD) downlink system.Firstly, the analytical expression of

Zero-sum problems and coverings by proper cosets

open access: yes, 2003
Let G be a finite Abelian group and D(G) its Davenport constant, which is defined as the maximal length of a minimal zero-sum sequence in G. We show that various problems on zero-sum sequences in G may be interpreted as certain covering problems.

On zero-sum free sequences contained in random subsets of finite cyclic groups

open access: yes, 2020
Let $C_n$ be a cyclic group of order $n$. A sequence $S$ of length $\ell$ over $C_n$ is a sequence $S = a_1\boldsymbol\cdot a_2\boldsymbol\cdot \ldots\boldsymbol\cdot a_{\ell}$ of $\ell$ elements in $C_n$, where a repetition of elements is allowed and ...

Air Pollution and the Risk and Progression of Multiple Sclerosis: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Air pollution has been linked to several neurological conditions, including stroke and neurodegenerative diseases. Evidence regarding its association with multiple sclerosis (MS) remains conflicting, limited by small sample sizes. Methods PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and Cochrane controlled register of trials (CENTRAL) were searched on ...
