Advantages of an Emulsion‐Produced Ziegler‐Natta Catalyst Over a Conventional Ziegler‐Natta Catalyst
AbstractSummary: Self‐supported and MgCl2‐supported Ziegler‐Natta catalysts, produced by two catalyst synthesis methods are compared. Borealis Polymers OY (Finland), who supplied the catalysts, developed the catalyst synthesis methods. The first method (Method One) is based on an emulsion system and consists of an in situ single step preparation.

Threshold effect of residual catalyst on volume resistivity of polypropylene polymers
Abstract Polypropylene (PP) has become the focus of research and development of recyclable polymer dielectric materials because of its excellent electrical and thermal properties. The residual catalyst after PP polymerisation is the main part of ash. It was found that ash particles are uniformly dispersed in the PP matrix.

Tailoring polypropylene properties by package of internal/external donor in Ziegler Natta catalysts [PDF]
Insights have been developed into the influence of different structures, including bismethoxymethylfluorene (B) and 2,2-diisopropyl succinate (I), on both internal donor (ID) and external donor (ED) roles on the performance of MgCl2/ID/TiCl4.

Heterogeneous Distribution of Entanglements in a Nonequilibrium Polymer Melt of UHMWPE: Influence on Crystallization without and with Graphene Oxide [PDF]
In the past, studies have been performed to follow chain dynamics in an equilibrium polymer melt using low molar mass polymers. Here we show that in linear ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene entanglements formed during or after polymerization are ...

Bond Length - Bond Valence Relationships for Carbon - Carbon and Carbon - Oxygen Bonds [PDF]
In the present study, relationships are developed for determining bond orders (also referred to as bond valences or bond numbers) from published bond lengths for carbon-carbon (C-C) and carbon-oxygen (C-O) bonds.
