Zinc Oxide-Eugenol Cements: III. Infrared Spectroscopic Studies

open access: yes, 1972
The structure of eugenol, zinc eugenolate salt, zinc oxide-eugenol and guaiacol cements, and deuterated analogues was studied by infrared spectroscopy. The molecular geometry of the zinc eugenolate chelate and the parent eugenol dimer were similar.

Harnessing Thin‐Film Solid‐State Electrolytes: Enabling Breakthroughs in All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration highlighting the advantages of transitioning from traditional thick solid‐state electrolytes (SSEs) to thin‐film SSEs. Thinning the electrolyte enables higher ionic conductivity, reduced interfacial polarization, improved flexibility, compact electrode contact, and enhanced energy density, offering a promising pathway toward high‐

Zinc Oxide-Eugenol Cements: II. Study of Erosion and Disintegration

open access: yes, 1970
The continuous leaching of eugenol from zinc oxide-eugenol cements causes the weak zinc eugenolate chelate, which forms the binding matrix, to decompose and the cement to disintegrate.
