This review summarizes that medicinal and edible homologous TCMs—such as Mongolian milkvetch root, common turmeric rhizome, and Angelica—alleviate chronic inflammatory diseases (IBD, RA, and AS) by inhibiting M1 and promoting M2 macrophage polarization, providing a theoretical basis for inflammation therapy and daily dietary intervention.
