In situ hydrogen loading on zirconium powder [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
For the first time, various hydride phases in a zirconium-hydrogen system have been prepared in a high-energy synchrotron X-ray radiation beamline and their transformation behaviour has been studied in situ.

Zirconium-Catalyzed C–H Alumination of Polyolefins, Paraffins, and Methane

open access: yes, 2023
C–H/Et-Al exchange in zirconium-catalyzed reactions of saturated hydrocarbons and AlEt3 affords versatile organoaluminum compounds and ethane. The grafting of commercially available Zr(OtBu)4 on silica/alumina gives monopodal SiO–Zr(OtBu)3 surface pre ...

Time‐restricted feeding prior to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection reduces tissue CD4+ T cells with limited impact on bacterial clearance

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

Thick films of YSZ electrolytes by dip-coating process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ, 8% Y2O3) thick films were coated on porous Ni-YSZ substrates using the dip-coating process and a suspension with a new formulation. The suspension was obtained by addition of a polymeric matrix in a stable suspension of a

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

The Extraction Mechanism of Zirconium and Hafnium in the MIBK-HSCN System

open access: yesSeparations
The extraction of zirconium (Zr) and hafnium (Hf) in methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK)—thiocyanic acid (HSCN) system has been widely used in the production of nuclear-grade zirconium and hafnium in industry, while the extraction mechanism was not adequately ...

NANOINDENTATION OF ZIRCONIUM DENTAL CERAMIC PREPARED WITH DIFFERENT FINISHING TECHNIQUES [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings on Engineering Sciences, 2019
This paper describes the nanomechanical characteristics of Zirconium (IPS e.max ZirCAD, Ivoclar Vivadent) treated with three different surface finishing techniques: polishing, glazing and grinding, using the Anton Paar nanoindentation.

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.
