Effect of sintering temperature on microstructure and nonlinear electrical characteristics of ZnO varistor [PDF]
The nonlinear properties of ZBMCCS-based varistors, which are composed of ZnO–Bi2O3–MnO2–Cr2O3–Sb2O3–Co3O4 and SiO2 are studied inrelation to sintering temperature, in the range of 1280–1350∘C.

Growth of ZnO nanostructures on Si by means of plasma immersion ion implantation and deposition [PDF]
Crystalline zinc oxide (ZnO) nanostructures have been grown on Si substrates by means of Plasma Based Ion Implantation and Deposition (PIII&D) at temperature of about 300 0C and in the presence of an argon glow discharge. In the process a crucible filled

Percolation effects in dc degradation of ZnO varistors [PDF]
For quantitative estimation of the degree of electrical disorder (electrical inhomogeneity) in ZnO varistor ceramics caused by a variation in the barrier height at different grain boundaries in a sample, the comparison of threshold electric fields ...

The abnormal expansion associated with the simultaneous synthesis and sintering of Zn2SnO4 from ZnO and SnO2 is due to the reaction mechanism and correlated with the conversion. This phenomenon opens the way to manufacture porous ceramics without the addition of pore generators, simplifying the process, and especially the thermal treatment.

Effect of MnO2${ ext{MnO}}_{2}$ doping on AC aging characteristics of varistor in arrester
As the core component of lightning arrester, the performance of ZnO varistor directly affects the protection level of lightning arrester. Under the action of long‐term AC voltage, the varistors are prone to AC aging, which leads to the deterioration of ...

ABSTRACT When the surge arrester is subjected to the working voltage for an extended period, it undergoes alternating current (AC) aging, which degrades the arrester's parameters and affects the safety of the power grid. Ni2O3 is an important additive in the ZnO varistor formulation, and its doping ratio significantly influences the performance of the ...

Electronic structure of the muonium center as a shallow donor in ZnO
The electronic structure and the location of muonium centers (Mu) in single-crystalline ZnO were determined for the first time. Two species of Mu centers with extremely small hyperfine parameters have been observed below 40 K.
