Dendritic Cell α‐Ketoglutarate Regulates Tfh Polarization in Allergy

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Allergen induces a dendritic cell metabolism shift toward glutaminolysis with α‐ketoglutarate as a regulator of Tfh subset polarization. Glutaminolysis is required for DC allergen uptake, co‐stimulatory molecule expression, and CLR expression. Modulation of glutaminolysis, JmjD3 histone demethylation, or HIF‐1α degradation alters Tfh polarization and ...

Zombie Firms and Economic Stagnation in Japan [PDF]

open access: yes
It is often claimed that one contributing factor to Japan's weak economic performance over the past decade is that Japanese banks have continued to provide financial support for highly inefficient, debt-ridden companies, commonly referred to as "zombie ...

VQ‐Style: Disentangling Style and Content in Motion with Residual Quantized Representations

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract Human motion data is inherently rich and complex, containing both semantic content and subtle stylistic features that are challenging to model. We propose a novel method for effective disentanglement of the style and content in human motion data to facilitate style transfer.

Zombie Lending and Depressed Restructuring in Japan [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, we propose a bank-based explanation for the decade-long Japanese slowdown following the asset price collapse in the early 1990s. We start with the well-known observation that most large Japanese banks were only able to comply with capital ...

Periodontitis‐Associated Circulating EVs Promote Colorectal Cancer Progression via Carnosine‐Mediated Acidosis Adaptation

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
This study identifies a link between periodontitis and CRC progression mediated by carnosine‐enriched circulating EVs. These EVs target the intestine and elevate tumour cell intracellular pH (pHi), which rescues lysosomal function. This process drives a transition from dysfunctional lysosomes to functional ones, promoting a high malignancy phenotype in

Dual Host–Pathogen Screening of the Lung During Severe Influenza Using Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesImmunology &Cell Biology, EarlyView.
We performed genome‐wide spatial transcriptomics at 10 μm resolution on the lungs of mice infected with influenza A virus. We utilised publicly available scRNAseq reference datasets to identify cell types present. We found viral transcripts across all detected cell types, suggesting localised indiscriminate infection.
