Behavioural responses of fungal zoospores.
Microbiological sciences, 1990Fungal zoospores respond to external stimuli in at least four phases of their activity: swimming, encystment, adhesion of the cyst and orientation of the germ tube. Specificity and recognition in these events are described and related to the ecology of zoosporic fungi.
