Carbon monoxide hydrogenation over ZrO2 and Cu/ZrO2
Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications, 1993Sol–gel-derived ZrO2 with a high surface area (> 250 m2 g–1) is found to be very active in CO hydrogenation and unexpectedly produces propan-2-ol with high selectivity; after incorporation of Cu, a methanol synthesis catalyst is produced not only with a higher activity per unit area than Cu/ZnO, but also with an even lower tendency to produce alkanes ...

Fabrication of lightweight ZrO2 fiberboards using hollow ZrO2 fibers
Ceramics International, 2020Abstract ZrO2 fiberboards with ultra-low densities (0.34–0.40 g/cm3) were fabricated using biomorphic ZrO2 hollow fibers, which have a lower density and better thermal insulation than traditional ZrO2 solid fibers. The effects of sol binder content, sintering temperature, and proportion of solid fibers on the density, microstructure, compressive ...

Mesoporous zirconia aerogels are very interesting materials with important properties used for several applications such as ceramics and catalysis. The textural and structural properties of zirconia aerogel depend on the preparation parameters such as the hydrolysis ratio, the acid and zirconium precursor concentrations, and the gel aging.

MOS devices with tetragonal ZrO2 as gate dielectric formed by annealing ZrO2/Ge/ZrO2 laminate
Microelectronic Engineering, 2011A Ge-stabilized tetragonal ZrO"2 (t-ZrO"2) film with permittivity (@k) of 36.2 was formed by depositing a ZrO"2/Ge/ZrO"2 laminate and a subsequent annealing at 600^oC, which is a more reliable approach to control the incorporated amount of Ge in ZrO"2. On Si substrates, with thin SiON as an interfacial layer, the SiON/t-ZrO"2 gate stack with equivalent

Preparation and characterization of ZrO2 and SO42−-promoted ZrO2
Materials Chemistry and Physics, 1987Abstract The acid-base and oxidizing properties and the structures of ZrOn prepared with ammonia or urea and ZrO 2 treated with sulfuric acid or ammonium sulfate have been investigated. The treatment of ZrO 2 with so 4 2− caused the remarkable increases in the phase transition temperature to monoclinic form, the surface area and the acid strength

ZrO2 and Cu/ZrO2 Sol?Gel Materials Spectroscopic Characterization
Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology, 2005Copper-doped zirconia (1% mol) and zirconia powders were prepared by the sol–gel process, using zirconium n-butoxide and copper nitrate as precursors. The resulting xerogels are nanocrystalline and exhibit different properties from the corresponding microcrystalline materials.

Grafting of ZrO2 powder and ZrO2 membrane by fluoroalkylsilanes
Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2004Abstract The hydrophobic properties of zirconia membrane have been obtained by grafting fluoroalkylsilane on the surface of the ceramic material. Several different grafting experiments were conducted using zirconia powders to determine the optimal conditions of grafting.

Directionally solidified ZrO2-Ta and ZrO2(Y2O3)-Ta composites
Materials Research Bulletin, 1977Abstract Aligned eutectic composites of unstabilized ZrO 2 -Ta and Y 2 O 3 -stabilized ZrO 2 -Ta were grown by direct internal zone melting. Samples with unstabilized ZrO 2 were almost completely crack-free even though the matrix had transformed from the tetragonal to the monoclinic lattice.
