Dynamics of the condensate in zero-range processes [PDF]
For stochastic processes leading to condensation, the condensate, once it is formed, performs an ergodic stationary-state motion over the system. We analyse this motion, and especially its characteristic time, for zero-range processes. The characteristic

Supervillin modulation of focal adhesions involving TRIP6/ZRP-1 [PDF]
Cell–substrate contacts, called focal adhesions (FAs), are dynamic in rapidly moving cells. We show that supervillin (SV)—a peripheral membrane protein that binds myosin II and F-actin in such cells—negatively regulates stress fibers, FAs, and cell–substrate adhesion.

Effects of α-ZrP on Crystallinity and Flame-Retardant Behaviors of PA6/MCA Composites
Novel flame-retardant Polyamide6/Melamine cyanurate-alpha-zirconium phosphate (PA6/MCA-α-ZrP) composites were prepared via the incorporation of the modified MCA (MCA-α-ZrP) into PA6. MCA-α-ZrP were synthesized through the self-assembly of α-ZrP, Melamine

In a previous work [1], we prepared О±-Zr(HPO4)2.2H2O (ZrP) by direct precipitation, reflux, and by sol-gel method. The results of characterization indicated that the properties of the resultant ZrP samples depended on the method and conditions of ...

Gelation Based on Host–Guest Interactions Induced by Multi-Functionalized Nanosheets
Host–guest interaction, being reversible and stimuli-responsive, is ideal to be applied to the design of hydrogels. We created a gelation system based on the host–guest interactions between the adamantyl groups and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) polymer.

Stationary uphill currents in locally perturbed Zero Range Processes [PDF]
Uphill currents are observed when mass diffuses in the direction of the density gradient. We study this phenomenon in stationary conditions in the framework of locally perturbed 1D Zero Range Processes (ZRP).

On Unit Groups of Completely Primary Finite Rings [PDF]
Let R be a commutative completely primary finite ring with the unique maximal ideal J such that J3 = (0) and J2 ≠ (0): Then R⁄J ≅ GF(pr) and the characteristic of R is pk, where 1 ≤ k ≤ 3, for some prime p and positive ...

Condensation transition in a model with attractive particles and non-local hops [PDF]
We study a one dimensional nonequilibrium lattice model with competing features of particle attraction and non-local hops. The system is similar to a zero range process (ZRP) with attractive particles but the particles can make both local and non-local ...

Shock probes in a one-dimensional Katz-Lebowitz-Spohn model [PDF]
We consider shock probes in a one-dimensional driven diffusive medium with nearest neighbor Ising interaction (KLS model). Earlier studies based on an approximate mapping of the present system to an effective zero-range process concluded that the ...
