ABSTRACT Soil degradation compromises ecosystem functioning. Biochar, a carbon‐rich amendment, has gained attention as a promising strategy to enhance soil structure and restore microbial balance. This study investigated the effects of two biochars, cashew bagasse biochar (CBB) and a co‐pyrolyzed biochar produced from sewage sludge and cashew pruning ...

Nano Delivery Strategy Opens Effective Avenues for the Treatment of Colorectal Cancer
ABSTRACT Colorectal cancer (CRC) presents significant therapeutic challenges because of chemoresistance, systemic toxicity, and the complexity of the tumor microenvironment (TME). Nanodrug delivery systems (NDDS) have emerged as versatile platforms capable of overcoming these limitations by enhancing tumor accumulation, improving pharmacokinetics, and ...

ABSTRACT Objective The real‐world evidence on the association between glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1RAs) and cancer risk remains limited and mixed. Methods In 2013–2020 national Medicare claims data, we included cancer‐naïve patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). We identified those who initiated GLP‐1 RA, sodium‐glucose cotransporter 2

In vitro study on the hypoglycemic potential of Nicotiana tabacum leaf extracts
Inhibition of some carbohydrate metabolizing enzymes is one of the modes of action of antihyperglycemic agents. The aim of this study was to investigate the in vitro inhibition of α-amylase and α-glucosidase by extracts of N. tabacum leaf.
