Studies on α-glucosidase inhibitors and antibacterial materials produced by Paenibacillus sp. TKU037
Bacterial strain TKU037 produced α ...

Composite sourdough breads were developed from blends of unripe plantain, tiger nut, and fenugreek flours. Optimized formulations improved pasting stability and enhanced texture, producing softer more elastic crumbs. The enriched breads contained higher dietary fiber and bioactive compounds, and significantly reduced serum cholesterol markers ...

Characterization of digestive α- and β-glucosidases in the midgut of Plagiodera versicolora Laicharting (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) [PDF]
The imported willow leaf beetle, Plagiodera versicolora is one of the main pests of forest trees worldwide including Iran. Activities of α- and β-glucosidases in the midgut of P. versicolora adults were studied in this research.

Sulfonamide chalcone as a new class of α-glucosidase inhibitors
Chalcones 1-20, a new class of glycosidase inhibitors, were synthesized, and their glycosidase inhibitory activities were investigated. Non-aminochalcones 1-12 had no inhibitory activity, however, aminochalcones 13-20 had strong glycosidase (α ...
