Performance responses of broilers and pigs fed diets with β-mannanase

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Zootecnia, 2020
This study was developed using meta-analysis to evaluate the effect of β-mannanase on both poultry and pig performance. Two databases were constructed using information from previous studies that evaluated the β-mannanase supplementation in diets for ...

The Effect of Various Inclusion Levels of β-Mannanase on Nutrient Digestibility in Diets Consisting of Corn, Soybean Meal and Palm Kernel Expellers Fed to Growing Pigs [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, 2015
An experiment was conducted to determine the effects of various inclusion levels of I²-mannanase on the energy and mannan digestibility in diets containing corn, Soybean Meal (SBM) and Palm Kernel Expellers (PKE) fed to growing pigs. The PKE contained 92.6% dry matter, 4,417 kcal gross energy kg-1, 4.02% ash and 31.3% mannan on an as-fed basis.

Epiphytic bet-mannanase producing bacterial strains [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences, 2021
Dry remains of the herbal species of the plantain (Plantago major), the wormwood (Artemisia vulgaris) and the reed grass (Calamagrostis acutiflora) were used as a natural source for isolation of β- mannanase producing strains. They were isolated by using

Meta-analysis on the effect of dietary β-mannanase on intestinal integrity in broiler chickens

open access: yesJournal of Applied Poultry Research, 2023
SUMMARY: The effect on intestinal health of using β-mannanase to degrade β-mannans, an intensely antinutritive fiber found in common broiler feed, was evaluated in a meta-analysis of lesion scoring data from 28 field trials completed in 13 countries from

Mannan endo-1,4-β-mannosidase from Kitasatospora sp. isolated in Indonesia and its potential for production of mannooligosaccharides from mannan polymers

open access: yesAMB Express, 2017
Mannan endo-1,4-β-mannosidase (commonly known as β-mannanase) catalyzes a random cleavage of the β-d-1,4-mannopyranosyl linkage in mannan polymers. The enzyme has been utilized in biofuel production from lignocellulose biomass, as well as in production ...

Effects of Supplementation of β-Mannanase in Corn-soybean Meal Diets on Performance and Nutrient Digestibility in Growing Pigs [PDF]

open access: yesAsian-Australasian Journal of Animal Sciences, 2013
A total of 288 crossbred (Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire) growing pigs were used in two experiments to investigate the effects of adding β-mannanase to corn-soybean meal-based diets on pig performance and apparent total tract digestibility (ATTD).
