Impact of fibromyalgia on patient acceptable symptom state in Thai patients with spondyloarthritis: A cross‐sectional study

open access: yesRheumatology &Autoimmunity, EarlyView.
This cross‐sectional study enrolled Thai patients with spondyloarthritis to assess the prevalence and its impact. Fibromyalgia was present in 5.5% and significantly impaired health‐related quality of life and symptom perception. Low disease activity, good sleep quality, and FS < 3 were independently associated with achieving PASS.

Combatting Bacterial Infections: The Efficacy of Poly-gamma-glutamic Acid on the Prevention of Nasopharyngeal Infections among Individuals with Cleft Lip and Palate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Cleft lip and palate (CLP) is a medical condition where children are born with an unfused lip and palate. While surgery is required to fuse the lip and palate, there are other conditions that children with CLP face after surgeries, such as otitis media ...

Early Epidemiologic and Immune Predictors of Atopic Dermatitis: Reduced Cord Blood Regulatory B10 Cells in the Munich Atopy Prediction Study (MAPS)

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
In this prospective birth cohort from Munich, comprehensive clinical assessments and longitudinal lifestyle questionnaires were combined with cord blood immune profiling. Infants who later developed AD showed altered cord blood immune signatures, including reduced CD4+ T cells, increased B cells and markedly decreased Breg cells. Epidemiologic factors,

Development & Characterisation of Nanocomposites for Bone Tissue Engineering

open access: yes, 2009
The aim of this thesis was to develop a bioactive and resorbable nanoscale composite that mimics the properties of bone and will have the potential to regenerate bone. In conventional composites, the polymer phase can mask the bioactive phase and often

Sodium butyrate ameliorates renal tubular lipid accumulation through a protein phosphatase 2A/transcription factor EB axis in diabetic nephropathy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose Extensive evidence indicates that lipid accumulation causes renal tubular injury, which further contributes to diabetic nephropathy (DN) progression. Short‐chain fatty acids (SCFAs) play an important role in the maintenance of cellular metabolic health.

Enhancing antitumour response to proteasome inhibitors with inhibitors of insulin‐degrading enzyme, a new molecular vulnerability in multiple myeloma

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Inhibitors of insulin‐degrading enzyme boost PI cytotoxicity through an increased sensitivity of proteasome to PI inhibitors, induction of ISR, DNA damage and Myc down‐regulation. They overcome PI resistance in vitro and induce tumour regression in vivo.

HARVESTING OF FRESHWATER MICROALGAE BY BACTERIAL BIOFLOCCULANT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016

Bacteriophage-encoded depolymerases: their diversity and biotechnological applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Bacteriophages (phages), natural enemies of bacteria, can encode enzymes able to degrade polymeric substances. These substances can be found in the bacterial cell surface, such as polysaccharides, or are produced by bacteria when they are living in ...
