水土保持措施对土壤物理性状的影响——以黄土高原水土保持世界银行贷款项目区为例

open access: yesShuitu Baochi Xuebao, 2003

Effect of Laminaria japonica Powder on Physicochemical Properties, Rheological Properties and Protein Structure of Silver Carp Surimi Gel [PDF]

open access: yes
In order to improve the gel properties of surimi, the surimi gel was prepared by adding Laminaria japonica powder (LJP) with a mass fraction of 2%~10% in silver carp surimi. The effect of amount of LJP on the gel strength, texture, water holding capacity,

Informal supply chains of wild meat from rural Amazonia and food security in an urban center

open access: yesConservation Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Iquitos, the most populated city in the Peruvian Amazon, is a hub in the regional supply chain of wild meat and supplies urban consumers. Studies on wild meat consumption have focused primarily on markets, limiting the scope of species considered to those that are economically valuable and potential inferences from those data.

Emerging applications of large language models in ecology and conservation science

open access: yesConservation Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Large language models (LLMs) mark a major development in artificial intelligence, with potentially transformative implications for ecology and conservation science. Built on advanced deep‐learning architectures, these models can support a wide range of tasks. We reviewed emerging applications of LLMs, drawing on the wider scientific literature

Effect of Soluble Starch on Gelation Properties and Structural Characteristics of Egg White Protein as a Function of Preheating Time [PDF]

open access: yes
The effects of adding soluble starch (SS) on improving the gelation properties of egg white protein (EWP) were investigated as a function of preheating time (0, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 min) at 55 ℃.

Transitioning From L1 Medium of Instruction to L2 English Medium Instruction: The Role of Translanguaging in Contributing to EFL Students’ Language Learning Motivation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Research on English‐Medium‐Instruction (EMI) highlights inadequate support for students transitioning from L1‐medium‐instruction to EMI. To date, little research has focused on how L2 students’ adaptation to an EMI environment influences their L2 learning motivation (LLM).

From “Striving to Survive” to “Striving to Thrive”: A Narrative Inquiry Into a Student's Motivational Development via Translanguaging in EAP and EMI Contexts

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT While English‐medium instruction (EMI) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses are designed to promote language and content learning, their prevailing English‐only approaches often undermine students’ learning motivation. Against this backdrop, translanguaging has gained recognition as an effective pedagogical practice to support ...
