idopNetwork: A network tool to dissect spatial community ecology
Abstract Network models have been used as a tool to characterize internal workings of complex systems. The amount of topological and functional information extracted from a network depend on the method of network inference and the type of network data.

Highlights For the first time, our study contributed a systematic evaluation of bile acid (BA) profiles in plasma, feces and liver tissue and gut microbiota changes triggered by fasting‐refeeding cycle in mice. Our work clearly demonstrated that overnight fasting leads to significant, but reversible changes in BA profiles and gut microbiota composition.

Highlights Electroacupuncture (EA) regulates the intestinal flora by promoting intestinal motility. EA regulated the intestinal flora to reduce the level of systemic inflammation. EA lowering the blood glucose by the IKKβ/NF‐κB‐JNK‐IRS‐1‐AKT signal pathway.

Time‐limited diets and the gut microbiota in cardiometabolic disease 限时进食及肠道菌群在心脏代谢性疾病中的作用
Highlights Time‐specific diet is a novel nutritional approach to prevent and treat cardiometabolic disease. Feeding‐fasting cycles shape gut microbial composition and metabolite production. These alterations may play a causative role in driving the cardiometabolic benefits of intermittent fasting.

Gut Microbiota—A New Concern on Health Regulation(肠道菌群:膳食与健康研究的新视角) [PDF]
With the development of “Human Microbiome Project” and “Metagenomics of the Human Intestinal Tract”, great attention has been paid on human gut microbiota. With the increasing knowledge of the composition and function of gut microbiota, we found that gut

Highlights Diabetic conditions induce compositional dysbiosis of the gut microbiota and impair gut barrier integrity. Diabetic conditions markedly downregulate the abundance of Faecalibacterium prausnitzii in the gut. Under diabetic conditions, microbial anti‐inflammatory molecules from Faecalibacterium prausnitzii restore the gut barrier and ZO‐1 ...

Generation Mechanism of Gut-Derived Trimethylamine and Its Dietary Regulation(肠源性三甲胺生成机制及其饮食调控) [PDF]
Substances such as choline, L-carnitine, and betaine contained in food can be converted into trimethylamine (TMA) under the action of gut microbiota. TMA can be easily absorbed by intestinal epithelial cells, transported to the liver through the portal ...

Research Progress of Probiotics-Based Health Food(益生菌类保健食品研究进展) [PDF]
The human intestinal tract contains a total of 1013-1014 microorganisms that comprise the intestinal micro-ecosystem. Intestinal microflora balance plays an important role in maintaining the body’s health. A number of factors, including high-fat diet and
