Electroacupuncture reduces blood glucose by regulating intestinal flora in type 2 diabetic mice. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Diabetes, 2022
Highlights Electroacupuncture (EA) regulates the intestinal flora by promoting intestinal motility. EA regulated the intestinal flora to reduce the level of systemic inflammation. EA lowering the blood glucose by the IKKβ/NF‐κB‐JNK‐IRS‐1‐AKT signal pathway.

Mechanisms of bariatric surgery for weight loss and diabetes remission 减重手术减轻体重和缓解糖尿病的机制

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 9, Page 736-752, September 2023., 2023
Highlights Controversial changes in intestinal hormones after bariatric surgery (BS) were summarized. The changes of signaling proteins involved in insulin resistance and the newly proposed changes in growth differentiation factor 15, exosomes, and extracellular vesicles after BS were elucidated.

Fasting and refeeding triggers specific changes in bile acid profiles and gut microbiota 禁食和再进食触发胆汁酸谱和肠道微生物群的特异性变化

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 2, Page 165-180, February 2023., 2023
Highlights For the first time, our study contributed a systematic evaluation of bile acid (BA) profiles in plasma, feces and liver tissue and gut microbiota changes triggered by fasting‐refeeding cycle in mice. Our work clearly demonstrated that overnight fasting leads to significant, but reversible changes in BA profiles and gut microbiota composition.

Mechanism of Action of Lonicera caerulea Berry Polyphenols in Regulating Intestinal Microecology in Immunosuppressive Mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Objective: In order to explore the effects of Lonicera caerulea berry polyphenols (LCBP) on immunity and intestinal flora in immunosuppressive mice. Methods: Thirty-two mice were randomly divided into a blank control group, a model group, a low-dose LCBP

Time‐limited diets and the gut microbiota in cardiometabolic disease 限时进食及肠道菌群在心脏代谢性疾病中的作用

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 14, Issue 6, Page 377-393, June 2022., 2022
Highlights Time‐specific diet is a novel nutritional approach to prevent and treat cardiometabolic disease. Feeding‐fasting cycles shape gut microbial composition and metabolite production. These alterations may play a causative role in driving the cardiometabolic benefits of intermittent fasting.

Research progress in the relationship between gut microbia and its metabolites and gestational diabetes mellitus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
The global incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) continues to rise in recent years. Research has shown that GDM can increase the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes in pregnant women and lead to malignant intergenerational circulation.

Advances in the Mechanism and Regulation of Obesity Induced by Gut Microbiota [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
The global prevalence of obesity has nearly tripled in the past 40 years and continues to rise at an alarming rate. High fat and high carbohydrate diets can cause gut microbiota disturbance and impairment of intestinal barrier function in obese ...

Regulatory Effect of Polysaccharides from Antrodia cinnamomea in Submerged Fermentation on Gut Microbiota in Mice with Antibiotic-Associated Diarrhea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
In order to study the effect of polysaccharides produced by Antrodia cinnamomea in submerged fermentation on the intestinal flora of mice and, more broadly, to develop the potential and application value of A.

Role of intestinal flora and 5-HT in depression- and anxiety-like behaviors in mice exposed to PM2.5 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
BackgroundSome studies have shown that PM2.5 exposure is closely related to central nervous system diseases that lead to cognitive dysfunction and change the composition of intestinal flora.

Faecalibacterium prausnitzii‐derived microbial anti‐inflammatory molecule regulates intestinal integrity in diabetes mellitus mice via modulating tight junction protein expression 普拉梭菌活性产物‐微生物抗炎分子通过调控细胞紧密连接蛋白表达修复糖尿病小鼠肠道屏障

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 12, Issue 3, Page 224-236, March 2020., 2020
Highlights Diabetic conditions induce compositional dysbiosis of the gut microbiota and impair gut barrier integrity. Diabetic conditions markedly downregulate the abundance of Faecalibacterium prausnitzii in the gut. Under diabetic conditions, microbial anti‐inflammatory molecules from Faecalibacterium prausnitzii restore the gut barrier and ZO‐1 ...
