ESR1 methylation and ESR1 mutations in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and paired plasma‐cfDNA of advanced breast cancer patients: A feasibility proof‐of‐concept study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...

The C+CH Reaction on 2 Electronic states

open access: yes, 2009
The influence of electronically nonadiabatic transitions in the C+CH reaction on the ground and first excited states is investigated by using time-dependent wave packet method.

Evidence for a $B_s^0 π^\pm$ State

open access: yes, 2016
We report evidence of a narrow structure, $X(5568)$, in the decay sequence $X(5568) \rightarrow B_s^0 π^{\pm}$, $B_s^0 \rightarrow J/ψϕ$, $J/ψ\rightarrow μ^+ μ^-$, $ϕ\rightarrow K^+K^-$. This is evidence for the first instance of a hadronic state with valence quarks of four different flavors. The mass and natural width of this state are measured to be $

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

I?K=1? 0 States IN ¹??Er and ¹??Hf Nuclei

open access: yes, 2007
In this study, the properties of collective 1?K = 1+0 states in doubly even deformed 168Er and 176Hf nuclei is investigated in the framework of the Random-Phase Approximation (RPA).

Light baryonium states with exotic quantum numbers

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
The existence of baryonium-bound or resonant states composed of a baryon and an antibaryon has long been postulated as a natural extension of conventional hadron spectroscopy.

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. A test of the flavor independence of [alpha][sub s] at the Z[sup 0] resonance

open access: yes, 1992
We compare the ratio of the strong coupling [alpha][sub s] measured in Z[sup 0] [yields] b[bar b] events to that measured in Z[sup 0] [yields] q[bar q](q=u,d,s,c) in the SLD experiment at SLAC.

Fully charmed tetraquark states in $$8_{[c\bar{c}]}\otimes 8_{[c\bar{c}]}$$ 8 [ c c ¯ ] ⊗ 8 [ c c ¯ ] color structure via QCD sum rules

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
Stimulated by the recent experimental results on the fully-charm tetraquark states, we systematically calculate the mass spectra of the fully-charm tetraquark states in $$8_{[c\bar{c}]}\otimes 8_{[c\bar{c}]}$$ 8 [ c c ¯ ] ⊗ 8 [ c c ¯ ] color ...

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.
