Role of Histidine‐Containing Peptoids in Accelerating the Kinetics of Calcite Growth
Amphiphilic histidine‐containing peptoids mimic carbonic anhydrase (CA) to accelerate calcite step growth. In the presence of Zn2+, they promote the deprotonation of HCO3−, the desolvation of Ca2+, and the reorganization of interfacial hydration layers, thereby reducing the activation barrier for calcite growth.

This research involves the reaction of 4-chloro-3-nitrocoumarin and (4-methoxyphenyl)methanamine, whereby a novel coumarin derivative 4-[(4-methoxybenzyl) amino]-3-nitro-2H-chromen-2-one was obtained in good yield.

1H NMR Analysis of Deuterated Fatty Acid Methyl Esters
Stearic-9, 10-d2, stearic-9, 9, 10, 10-d4, oleic-9, 10-d2, decanoic-3, 3-d2, lauric-3, 3-d2, myristic-3, 3-d2, palmitic-3, 3-d2, and stearic-3, 3-d2 acids were synthesized, and 1H NMR spectra of the methyl esters of these deuterated acids were measured. A strategic spin‐polarization suppression in Fe single‐atom catalysts is proposed to enhance electrocatalytic reduction of NO to NH3. Employing a top‐down electrospinning strategy, self‐supported FeSAC with Fe‐N3S1 coordination structure and spin‐state transition is engineered from high‐spin to low‐spin.
