Catalytic oxydehydrogenation of 2-ethylpyridine
Applied Catalysis A: General, 1996Abstract A wide variety of metal oxides and phosphates have been investigated as possible catalysts for the oxydehydrogenation of 2-ethylpyridine in the presence of steam at 773–873 K and atmospheric pressure. In general, mild oxidation-dehydrogenation catalysts showed higher yields.

REACTIONS OF ELEMENTAL SELENIUM WITH 2-ETHYLPYRIDINE
Phosphorus, Sulfur and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2004Reactions of elemental selenium with 2-ethylpyridine in the presence and absence of KOH have been studied. The reactions were conducted under nitrogen in sealed ampoules, at 200 o C. After removing unreacted substrates, the following products were identified by GC-MS: methyl 2-pyridyl ketone 1, 2,3-di-(2-pyridyl)butane 2, 1-(2-pyridyl)-2-[3-(2-ethyl ...

The reaction between benzyllithium and prochiral 2-ethylpyridine in tetrahydrofuran has been studied. In the presence of N,N,N′,N′′,N′′-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDTA), it was found that 1-(2-pyridyl)ethyllithium was formed as a PMDTA complex. This complex is mononuclear, with lithium coordinated to the pyridyl nitrogen atom only; there are no ...

Abstract Reaction of Na[AuCl4] with 2-vinylpyridine (vinpy) and 2-ethylpyridine (etpy) affords the N-bonded adducts Au(Rpy)Cl3 (R = CH2 CH, vinpy; CH3CH2, etpy). Cationic adducts, [Au(vinpy)2Cl][X]2 (X = BF4, PF6) and [Au(etpy)2Cl2][BF4], were also obtained by reaction of Au(Rpy)Cl3 with Rpy (1:1) and excess NaBF4 or KPF6.

Membranotropic and Antiradical Properties of 2-Nitroxysuccinate 3-Hydroxy-6-Methyl-2-Ethylpyridine
Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, 2019We studied membranotropic properties of NO donor 2-nitroxysuccinate 3-hydroxy-6-methyl-2-ethylpyridine and its structural analog succinate 3-hydroxy-6-methyl-2-ethylpyridine (Mexidol). It was shown that the compounds under study are incorporated into modeled membranes and form long-living complexes with pyrene in the region of fatty acid tails of ...
