Reaction of 2-propanol with ozone in aqueous media

Water Research, 2018
This paper deals with reactions occurring in the aqueous system of 2-propanol/ozone. The considered reactions are discussed from thermodynamic and kinetic points of view. The major finding refers to the fact that 2-propanol reacts with O3 mainly via hydride transfer: (HO)(H3C)2CH + O3 → [(HO)(H3C)2C+ + HO3-]cage → (HO)(H3C)2C+ + HO3- → (H3C)2CO + H2O +

Packing of collagen molecules modified with 2-propanol

Journal of Molecular Biology, 1984
X-ray diffraction data of collagen molecules modified with 2-propanol favour a quasi-hexagonal lateral packing over a quasi-tetragonal one.

A comparative adsorption study of 2-propanol and hexafluoro-2-propanol on mercury from aqueous NaF

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1989
Abstract The adsorption properties of 2-propanol (P) and of the corresponding perfluorated compound 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol (HFP) on mercury from aqueous 0.1 M NaF were determined from capacitive charge measurements using a computerized chronocoulometric technique.

Reversible dissociation of concanavalin A into monomers by 2-propanol

Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1982
Abstract Sedimentation equilibrium studies show that concanavalin A (Con A) in the pH region 4 to 6 is dissociated into its monomer subunits in the presence of 14.3% ( v v ) 2-propanol and 0.1 or 0.2 m NaCl or 0.1 m KCl, but not in 3.2 m NaCl, pH 6.8.

Hydrogen solubility in CO2-expanded 2-propanol and in propane-expanded 2-propanol determined by an acoustic sensor

The Journal of Supercritical Fluids, 2007
Abstract Hydrogen solubility in CO 2 -expanded 2-propanol and in propane-expanded 2-propanol was obtained by an acoustic technique described elsewhere [L. Zevnik, J. Levec, Gas expanded liquids: Determination of the volumetric expansion by an acoustic technique, J. Supercrit. Fluids (2007), in press].

Isothermal vapor-liquid equilibria for 2-propanol + octane and 2-propanol + 2,2,4-trimethylpentane at 348.15 K

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 1996
Abstract Isothermal vapor-liquid equilibria were measured for 2-propanol + octane and 2-propanol + 2,2,4-trimethylpentane at 348.15 K. The measurements were made in a Rogalski-Malanowski-type still with circulation of both vapor and liquid phases. Both binary isothermal systems form a maximum pressure azeotrope. The azeotropic data are x1(AZ) = 0.882

The conductance of electrolytes in acetone-2-propanol and acetone-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol mixtures at 25C1

Journal of Solution Chemistry, 1975
Precise conductance measurements are reported for tetrabutylammonium chloride, bromide, iodie, and perchlorate and lithium chloride in acetone-2-propanol (2-PrOH) and acetone-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol (HFP) mixtures at 25°C. Densities, viscosities and dielectric constants of the mixtures were determined.
