Perylenetetracarboxylic dianhydride (PTCDA) derivatives have received significant attention as molecule photocatalysts. However, the poor recyclability of molecule-type photocatalysts hinders their widespread applications. Herein, immobilization of PTCDA

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Strain Engineering of 2D Materials [PDF]
When bulk structures are thinned down to their monolayers, degree of orbital interactions, mechanical properties and electronic band dispersion of the crystal structure become highly sensitive to the amount of applied strain. The source of strain on the ultra-thin lattice structure can be (1) an external device or a flexible substrate that can stretch ...

A potential application of two-dimensional (2D) MXenes, such as Ti2CTx and Ti3C2Tx, is energy storage devices, such as supercapacitors, batteries, and hydride electrochemical cells, where intercalation of ions between the 2D layers is considered as a ...

Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Strain-displacement relations for strain engineering in single-layer 2d materials
We investigate the electromechanical coupling in single-layer 2d materials. For non-Bravais lattices, we find important corrections to the standard macroscopic strain-microscopic atomic-displacement theory.

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Interface engineering of electronic properties of graphene/boron nitride lateral heterostructures
Heterostructures are often expected to be of enhanced electronic properties compared with homogeneous ones. Valuable experimental efforts have been devoted to the fabrication of graphene/hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) lateral heterostructures. It has been

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
