Abstract Extensive 31 P NMR studies on a low-carrier-density system CeP have revealed clearly split several NMR signals depending on the three phases in the ordered state, which are in general accord with peculiar magnetic structures proposed by neutron diffraction measurements.

An investigation of the process of micelle formation of amphiphilic molecules in dilute solution is described. This report shows that nuclear magnetic resonance using plutonium-31 is effective. Plutonium-31 measurements were made with a spectrometer under ambient conditions.

31P NMR Spectroscopy of Brain and Heart
198331P NMR technique was applied to monitor changes in the energy metabolism of the brain and heart of unanesthetized cats during shock, stroke, hypoxia and increased functional activity. The results show that in these tissues content of inorganic phosphate, sugar phosphates, phosphocreatine and of ATP can be measured decently in awake animals.

Brain 31P NMR spectroscopy in the conscious rat
Journal of Neuroscience Methods, 1986Using a home-built head-body holder (HBH) which enables in vivo 31P NMR spectroscopy measurements on conscious rats, no significant changes were observed in the cerebral relative concentrations of ATP, phosphocreatine, phosphomonoesters, inorganic phosphate and intracellular pH during pentobarbital anesthesia in normal rats as compared to their ...

31P-NMR studies of bovine β-casein
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Protein Structure and Molecular Enzymology, 1982Highly resolved 31P nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of the phosphoprotein bovine beta-casein and one of its phosphopeptides (residues 1-25) have been obtained with samples treated to remove paramagnetic metal ions. Spin-lattice (T1) and spin-spin (T2) relaxation times indicate little or no restriction to the segmental motion in the phosphoserine ...

Biological 31P NMR Spectroscopy
1980Publisher Summary This chapter throws attention on biological 31P nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. It explores that, with all areas of NMR investigation, the advent of Fourier Transform (FT) NMR spectrometers has revolutionized the study of biological materials and biochemical systems.
