CircTRRAP Knockdown Has Cardioprotective Function in Cardiomyocytes via the Signal Regulation of miR-370-3p/PAWR Axis

open access: yesCardiovascular Therapeutics, 2022
Background. Circular RNA Transformation/Transcription Domain Associated Protein (circTRRAP, hsa_circ_0081241) was abnormally upregulated in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients. However, its biological role and functional mechanism in AMI remain to

An interactive multimedia learning environment for VLSI built with COSMOS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This paper presents Bigger Bits, an interactive multimedia learning environment that teaches students about VLSI within the context of computer electronics. The system was built with COSMOS (Content Oriented semantic Modelling Overlay Scheme), which is a

A study of the neglected Galactic HII region NGC 2579 and its companion ESO 370-9 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The Galactic HII region NGC 2579 has stayed undeservedly unexplored due to identification problems which persisted until recently. Both NGC 2579 and its companion ESO 370-9 have been misclassified as planetary or reflection nebula, confused with each ...

The HI gas content of galaxies around Abell 370, a galaxy cluster at z = 0.37

open access: yes, 2009
We used observations from the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope to measure the atomic hydrogen gas content of 324 galaxies around the galaxy cluster Abell 370 at a redshift of z = 0.37 (a look-back time of ~4 billion years).

Isolation and characterization of microsatellite loci from two inbreeding bark beetle species (Coccotrypes) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We developed 14 microsatellite markers in Coccotrypes carpophagus and 14 in C. dactyliperda. These loci will be used for studying genetic structure and the level of inbreeding in populations in the Canary Islands and Madeira.

VLA 1.4 GHz Catalogs of the Abell 370 and Abell 2390 Cluster Fields

open access: yes, 2012
We present 1.4 GHz catalogs for the cluster fields Abell 370 and Abell 2390 observed with the Very Large Array. These are two of the deepest radio images of cluster fields ever taken.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
