Lightweight Predictive 3D Gaussian Splats
Recent approaches representing 3D objects and scenes using Gaussian splats show increased rendering speed across a variety of platforms and devices. While rendering such representations is indeed extremely efficient, storing and transmitting them is often prohibitively expensive.

Uncertainty-Guided Zero-Watermarking for 3D Gaussian Splatting
3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has emerged as a cornerstone technique for 3D asset acquisition. However, existing copyright protection methods for 3DGS predominantly rely on embedding watermarks directly into Gaussian primitives, which inevitably degrades ...

Human‐in‐the‐Loop Object Segmentation for 3D Gaussian Splatting via Finger‐based VR Interface
This study introduces a human‐in‐the‐loop segmentation framework for 3D Gaussian Splatting that integrates real‐time optimization with intuitive VR‐based finger prompting. Compared with existing automatic, learning‐based methods, it achieves significantly higher accuracy and reduced segmentation time.

Integration of 3D Gaussian Splatting and Neural Radiance Fields in Virtual Reality Fire Fighting
Neural radiance fields (NeRFs) and 3D Gaussian splatting have emerged as promising 3D reconstruction techniques recently. However, their application in virtual reality (VR), particularly in firefighting training, remains underexplored.

Impact of Rain on 3D Reconstruction with Multi-View Stereo, Neural Radiance Fields and Gaussian Splatting [PDF]
Image-based 3D reconstruction uncovers many applications in documenting the geometry of the environment. Nonetheless, the assumption that images are captured in clear air rarely holds in real-world settings where adverse weather conditions are inevitable.

NeRF is a Valuable Assistant for 3D Gaussian Splatting
We introduce NeRF-GS, a novel framework that jointly optimizes Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) and 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS). This framework leverages the inherent continuous spatial representation of NeRF to mitigate several limitations of 3DGS, including sensitivity to Gaussian initialization, limited spatial awareness, and weak inter-Gaussian ...

Poison-splat: Computation Cost Attack on 3D Gaussian Splatting
3D Gaussian splatting (3DGS), known for its groundbreaking performance and efficiency, has become a dominant 3D representation and brought progress to many 3D vision tasks. However, in this work, we reveal a significant security vulnerability that has been largely overlooked in 3DGS: the computation cost of training 3DGS could be maliciously tampered ...

3D-GSW: 3D Gaussian Splatting for Robust Watermarking
As 3D Gaussian Splatting (3D-GS) gains significant attention and its commercial usage increases, the need for watermarking technologies to prevent unauthorized use of the 3D-GS models and rendered images has become increasingly important. In this paper, we introduce a robust watermarking method for 3D-GS that secures copyright of both the model and its
