3D nanoprinting piezoceramic with large elastic deformation and high piezoelectricity

open access: yesInternational Journal of Extreme Manufacturing
Piezoceramic is ubiquitously used in high-performance sensors and actuators. Three-dimensional (3D) printing of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) is attractive and highly desired for such device applications, but most of the existing methods are inherently ...

All‐Optical Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function for Sustainable Security

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 38, 8 July 2026.
An all‐optical reconfigurable physical unclonable function (PUF) is demonstrated using plasmonic coupling–induced sintering of optically trapped gold nanoparticles, where Brownian motion serves as a robust entropy source. The resulting optical PUF exhibits high encoding density, strong resistance to modeling attacks, and practical authentication ...

Exploring Curvature Effects in Direct‐Written 3D Curved Hollow Magnetic Nanoshells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 50, 22 June 2026.
Fabricated by a hybrid FEBID/CVD method, 3D PtC/Co3Fe core–shell heterostructures with engineered curvature and shell thickness exhibit complex reversal modes with axially symmetric N'eel‐type domain walls. XMCD‐PEEM combined with full‐scale micromagnetic simulations reveal how curvature and thickness govern the domain wall energy landscape and shape ...

Wavelength-agnostic 3D-Nanoprinted coupler

open access: yesLaser & Photonics Reviews
We present a photonic coupler that exhibits effectively wavelength-agnostic performance for ultra-broadband optical interfacing. By incorporating a dual-ellipsoidal geometry, the design facilitates quasi-free-space optical propagation. We further propose a hybrid modelling workflow employs a matrix optics-based approach as an efficient pre-design tool,

High‐Index, Low‐Loss Optical Material Platforms for Ultra‐Broadband Ultraviolet‐to‐Visible Achromatic Metalenses

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 49, 18 June 2026.
An integrated material platform combining engineered SiNx thin films and printable ZrO2 nanoparticle‐embedded resin enables broadband achromatic metalenses from the ultraviolet to visible range. The demonstrated meta‐optics achieve near‐diffraction‐limited focusing with minimal chromatic aberration.

Characterization and Design Framework for Micro‐ and Nanoscale Printed Metal Interconnects in Hybrid Electronic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 11, 5 June 2026.
This work establishes a framework for high‐resolution printed interconnects by coupling e‐jet printing control, multilayer deposition, and sintering optimization. Ink properties and printing speed influence particle stacking, while different sintering atmospheres drive distinct microstructural evolution.

New Directions in Focused Ion Beam Induced Deposition for the Nanoprinting of Functional 3D Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 11, 5 June 2026.
Here, it is shown that focused ion beam induced deposition (FIBID) using helium and neon ions enables advanced high‐resolution 3D nanoprinting achieving precise multimaterial architectures and engineered internal voids. Thus, FIBID with finely focused noble gas ion species is presented as a unique platform for designing functional nanomaterials for ...
