Enhanced mitochondrial activity reshapes a gut microbiota profile that delays NASH progression
Improved mitochondrial activity, due to the lack of methylation‐controlled J protein (MCJ), creates a specific microbiota signature that when transferred through cecal microbiota transplantation delays NASH progression by restoring the gut‐liver axis and enhancing hepatic fatty acid oxidation.

Mechanism of inactivation of myeloperoxidase by 4-aminobenzoic acid hydrazide [PDF]
Hypochlorous acid is the most powerful oxidant generated by neutrophils and is likely to contribute to the damage mediated by these inflammatory cells. The haem enzyme myeloperoxidase catalyses its production from hydrogen peroxide and chloride. 4-Aminobenzoic acid hydrazide (ABAH) is a potent inhibitor of hypochlorous acid production.

High Score of ELST-Blue in Endoscopic Ultrasonography Strain Elastography May Provide a High Risk Group of Early Chronic Pancreatitis with the Reduction of Apolipoprotein A2-i Index. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Background To evaluate the usefulness of the ELST‐blue score to explore its potential application in identifying high‐risk groups for early chronic pancreatitis (ECP) through reflecting on pancreatic elasticity and the reduction of pancreatic function, and we tried to demonstrate whether the ELST‐blue score was significantly associated with ...
