Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Emerging Vistas for the Nutraceutical Withania somnifera in Inflammaging

open access: yesPharmaceuticals
Inflammaging, a coexistence of inflammation and aging, is a persistent, systemic, low-grade inflammation seen in the geriatric population. Various natural compounds have been greatly explored for their potential role in preventing and treating ...

Interaction of nanosecond laser pulse with tetramethyl silane (Si(CH3)4) clusters: Generation of multiply charged silicon and carbon ions

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2011
Present work reports significantly high levels of ionization, eventually leading to Coulomb explosion of Tetramethyl silane (TMS) clusters, on interaction with laser pulses of intensity ∼109 W/cm2.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Effect of Radical‐Mediated Cross‐Linking on Partially Fluorinated Aromatic Anion Exchange Membranes and their Applications in Alkaline Water Electrolysis Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy & Sustainability Research
To investigate the effect of cross‐linking on partially fluorinated anion exchange membranes tethered with trimethylpropyl side chains (QPAF‐C3), styrene‐based cross‐linker is introduced into the precursor copolymers and then cross‐linked via free ...

Mass transport induced asymmetry in charge/discharge behavior of liquid metal batteries

open access: yesElectrochemistry Communications, 2019
Mass and charge transport in liquid metal batteries are closely intertwined because of the fully liquid interior of the cells. We found that charging and discharging cycles may show pronounced asymmetries.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
