Regulatory and retrograde signaling networks in the chlorophyll biosynthetic pathway

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, Volume 67, Issue 4, Page 887-911, April 2025.
This review summarizes the regulatory mechanisms that underlie chlorophyll synthesis, including (1) factors that control the activity and stability of tetrapyrrole biosynthesis enzymes, (2) transcriptional and post‐translational regulation of the tetrapyrrole biosynthesis pathway, and (3) the complex roles of tetrapyrrole‐mediated retrograde signaling ...

Biochemical and Structural Characterisation of a Bacterial Lactoperoxidase

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 26, Issue 2, January 14, 2025.
This study presents the biochemical and structural characterization of CyanoPOX, a heme‐containing peroxidase from Cyanobacterium sp. TDX16. Expressed in E. coli, the enzyme exhibits properties similar to bovine lactoperoxidase despite low sequence identity.

13C‐Labeling as a Method in Organic Synthesis, Catalysis and Biochemical Applications

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 5, Issue 1, January 2025.
Synthesis of 13C‐labeled compounds was a separate field in chemistry. Now, incorporation of 13C label is a useful approach in structure determination of complicated compounds, catalysis, mechanistic investigations, biochemistry and metabolomics. In this review, carbon‐13 labeling was considered as a method in chemistry, providing efficient routes in ...

Porokeratoses: an update on pathogenesis and treatment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, Volume 64, Issue 1, Page 62-71, January 2025.
Abstract Porokeratoses (PK) are a group of uncommon dermatoses characterized by abnormal epidermal differentiation due to a disorder of the mevalonate metabolic pathway. Several clinical subtypes exist that can be associated with the same patient or affect different patients within a family and could, therefore, be different expressions of one disease.
