Effects of Tween 80 on liver microsomal 7-dehydrocholesterol reductase

Abstract Enzymatic conversion of 7-dehydrocholesterol to cholesterol by liver microsomes was increased by addition of Tween 80. This increase was proportional to Tween 80 concentration, and reached its maximum of 250% of baseline activity after addition of 300 μg/ml of Tween 80.
