Covalent Organic Frameworks for Photocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 52, December 29, 2025.
This review provides an overview of recent advances in covalent organic frameworks (COFs) for photocatalysis, focusing on sustainable energy applications like water splitting, hydrogen peroxide generation, and CO2 and N2 reduction. It discusses design principles, structure‐function relationships, challenges in COF photocatalysis, and strategies to ...

Crystal structure of 8-hydroxyquinoline: a new monoclinic polymorph

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2014
In an attempt to grow 8-hydroxyquinoline–acetaminophen co-crystals from equimolar amounts of conformers in a chloroform–ethanol solvent mixture at room temperature, the title compound, C9H7NO, was obtained. The molecule is planar, with the hydroxy H atom

Oxo-Molybdenum (V) Complexes of 8-Hydroxyquinoline and Substituted 8-Hydroxyquinolines. Part IV

open access: yes, 1970
A number of oxo-molybdenum (V) complexes of 8-hydrooxyquinoline, 5, 7-dibromo 8-hydroxyquinoline and 5, 7-dichloro 8-hydroxyquinoline have been synthesized and characterised. These are of Idle types: (a) [Mo2O2Cl4 (oxine)2 (O-Phen)], (b) [Mo2O4 (oxine)2 (X)2] (c) [MoOCl (oxine)2] (where oxin H = 8-hydroxyquinoline, \(X\) = pyridine, β-picoline or ...

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 52, December 29, 2025.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.
