Directional Flow of Confined Polaritons in CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
CrSBr, a layered magnetic semiconductor, naturally channels self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons into highly directional flow. Its intrinsic optical anisotropy, high refractive index, and strong lightmatter coupling enable long‐range guided modes along the a‐axis, with propagation lengths set by their excitonphoton admixture.

Microscopic Calculation of in-Medium Proton-Proton Cross Sections

open access: yes, 1993
We derive in-medium PROTON-PROTON cross sections in a microscopic model based upon the Bonn nucleon-nucleon potential and the Dirac-Brueckner approach for nuclear matter.

Integral field spectroscopy of nitrogen overabundant blue compact dwarf galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We study the spatial distribution of the physical properties and of oxygen and nitrogen abundances in three Blue Compact Dwarf Galaxiess (HS 0128+2832, HS 0837+4717 and Mrk 930) with a reported excess of N/O in order to investigate the nature of this ...

Sustainable Structural Hot‐Melt Adhesives Enabled by Functionalized Crystalline Lamellae

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A high‐performance, recyclable hot‐melt adhesive is developed from renewable materials. It features functional crystalline lamellae that enhance shear strength and enable closed‐loop recycling. The adhesive also provides excellent water and oxygen barrier properties, meeting both sustainability and performance demands for advanced bonding and sealing ...

Chotosan, a Kampo Formula, Ameliorates Chronic Cerebral Hypoperfusion-Induced Deficits in Object Recognition Behaviors and Central Cholinergic Systems in Mice

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2007
We previously demonstrated that the Kampo formula chotosan (CTS) ameliorated spatial cognitive impairment via central cholinergic systems in a chronic cerebral hypoperfusion (P2VO) mouse model.

Dynamic Optical Lattices Through Conducting Polymer‐Gated Confinement

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The conducting polymer gate is incorporated into organic dielectric lattices to control the dynamic switching of nonlocal Mie resonances in the visible/NIR regions. The “closed gate” from oxidized PEDOT confines the light within dielectric nanocylinders and activates nonlocal Mie resonances, while the “opened gate” from reduced PEDOT facilitates ...

Diabetes-Induced Central Cholinergic Neuronal Loss and Cognitive Deficit Are Attenuated by Tacrine and a Chinese Herbal Prescription, Kangen-Karyu: Elucidation in Type 2 Diabetes db/db Mice

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2011
.: We investigated the effect of kangen-karyu (KK), a Chinese herbal prescription, on cognitive deficits and central cholinergic systems of type 2 diabetic db/db mice. Seven-week-old db/db (Y-db/db) mice received daily administration of test drugs during

Bearing material [PDF]

open access: yes, 1976
A composite material is described which will provide low friction surfaces for materials in rolling or sliding contact and is self-lubricating and oxidation resistant up to and in excess of about 930 C.

Interfacial Behavior of Methane in Methane/p‐Xylene/Water Systems: First Principles Inspected Using Neutron Imaging and Molecular Dynamics Simulations

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Pressurized gases reduce interfacial tension (IFT) at the gas‐liquid interfaces, their influence on the liquid–liquid interfaces remains unclear. For model compounds methane, water, and p‐xylene, neutron imaging observation of pressurized three‐phase systems is combined with Molecular Dynamics simulations.

MEMS‐Based Magnetoelectric Antennas for Wireless Power Transmission in Brain‐Implantable Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Magnetoelectric (ME) antennas allow the minimization of the invasiveness of brain implantable devices, via powering wirelessly systems able to actuate neural tissue. In order to achieve the necessary power efficiency transmission, the choice of the materials and the system assembly is vital.
