X-Y plotter adapter developed for SDS-930 computer [PDF]

open access: yes, 1968
Graphical Display Adapter provides a real time display for digital computerized experiments. This display uses a memory oscilloscope which records a single trace until erased. It is a small hardware unit which interfaces with the J-box feature of the SDS-

Batalin-Vilkoviski master equation and absence of anomalies in string field theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
We study the Batalin-Vilkovisky master equation for both open and closed string field theory with special attention to anomalies. Open string field theory is anomaly free once the minimal coupling to closed strings induced by loop amplitudes is ...

Raman Microscopy at the Organic–Inorganic Interfaces in Human Calcified Aortic Valves Shows the Co‐Existence of Whitlockite Crystals and Carbonated Hydroxyapatite‐Mineralized Collagen Fibrils

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study advances our understanding of aortic valve stenosis by capturing spatially resolved chemical and structural changes at the nanoscale. The findings highlight the potential of combined Raman and electron microscopy for understanding calcification mechanisms across diverse tissue types.

The Microstructural Observation in Precipitations of Peak-Aged Al–Zn–Mg Alloys with Various Zn/Mg Ratios

open access: yesMetals
The precipitation behavior of peak-aged Al–Zn–Mg alloys with various Zn/Mg ratios was investigated to clarify the relationship between aging microstructure and mechanical response using (scanning) transmission electron microscopy (STEM/TEM).

Remote Dielectric Sensing to Assess Residual Pulmonary Congestion Following Percutaneous Mitral Valve Repair

open access: yesMedicina, 2022
Background and Objectives: Percutaneous mitral valve repair using a MitraClip system is an established therapeutic strategy to treat severe mitral regurgitation, which is recommended by guidelines in Europe and in the United States, whereas residual ...

Recollapse of the closed Tolman spacetimes

open access: yes, 1993
The closed-universe recollapse conjecture is studied for the spherically symmetric spacetimes. It is proven that there exists an upper bound to the lengths of timelike curves in any Tolman spacetime that possesses $S^3$ Cauchy surfaces and whose energy ...

Arthropods Associated With Purple Loosestrife in Illinois Wetlands [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We estimated and described the arthropod fauna on purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria) plants in northeastern Illinois wetlands. A total of 1063 individual arthropods were collected—930 insects and 133 arachnids.

Through Diamond Robust Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Thin film diamond growth offers a unique opportunity for Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS); the encapsulation of plasmonic nanostructures within a transparent, chemically stable, and physically robust coating. The diamond acts as both a window and protective layer, enabling illumination of the plasmonic nanostructures through the diamond ...

The Relationship Between Hardness and Microstructure in Zn/Mg Ratio-Controlled Al–Zn–Mg Alloys Aged at 120 °C

open access: yesMetals
Al–Zn–Mg alloys are widely recognized for their high strength-to-weight ratio, with the primary strengthening precipitates being the η/η′ and T/T′ phases.

Light Activated Induction of Cuproptosis in Resistant Cancer Cells Using Polymeric BODIPY Nanoparticles for Photoactivated Chemotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a photo‐responsive nanoparticle platform that precisely triggers copper‐dependent cuproptotic cell death in (drug‐resistant) cancer cells. The system remains stable and inactive in the dark but releases cytotoxic species upon red‐light irradiation, achieving potent activity in drug‐resistant breast cancer cells.
