Clinical comparison of 99mTc-HMDP and 99mTc-MDP

European Journal of Nuclear Medicine, 1985
99mTc-Hydroxymethylene diphosphonate (HMDP) was compared to 99mTc-methylene diphosphonate (MDP) with respect to image quality, lesion detectability, and the uptake ratios of normal bone to soft tissue (B/S), metastatic bone to soft tissue (M/S) and bone metastases to normal bone (M/B) at 2 and 3 h after injection in the same subjects.

Optimal conditions of 99mTc eluate for the radiolabeling of 99mTc-sestamibi

Nuclear Medicine and Biology, 1996
Our nuclear pharmacy has reported that a failed radiochemical purity (RCP) (i.e., RCP < 90%) of 99mTc-sestamibi may be associated with the use of a first elution at later stages from a long-ingrowth time (i.e., > or = 72 h) wet-column generator. The primary purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of 99mTc eluates from wet- and dry-column ...

Synthesis and comparison of 99mTc-enrofloxacin and 99mTc-ciprofloxacin.

Journal of nuclear medicine : official publication, Society of Nuclear Medicine, 2004
The use of (99m)Tc-ciprofloxacin as a tracer for infection and inflammation has been examined and discussed in the literature extensively. Its alleged ability to discriminate between sterile inflammation and bacterial versus nonbacterial infections has led to an intense debate.

Impurities of 99mTc-generators

European Journal of Nuclear Medicine, 1983
The impurities present after use in 99Mo- 99mTc-generators produced by four different manufacturers were investigated by means of the energy spectrum and half-life measurements. The generators produced with fission contained only a few impurities, and the half-lives of their nuclides were relatively short.

Identity confirmation of 99mTc-MAG3, 99mTc-Sestamibi and 99mTc-ECD using radio-LC-MS

Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2003
Due to the low concentrations in which 99mTc-radiopharmaceuticals are obtained (4-40 ng/ml), confirmation of the identity of these tracer agents in the European Pharmacopoeia is generally performed only indirectly by assessment of their retention times on RP-HPLC.

Standardization of 99mTc

Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2006
The radioactivity of 99mTc was standardized by the 4piPC-gamma coincidence method with two different modes. One is using coincidences between (119.5-142.6)keV conversion electrons and K X-rays, and the other is coincidences between the 2.13 keV conversion electrons and 140.5 keVgamma-rays.

The evaluation of sacroiliitis using 99mTc-nanocolloid and 99mTc-MDP scintigraphy

Nuclear Medicine Communications, 2001
The role of imaging studies in the evaluation of patients with sacroiliitis is controversial. We aimed to evaluate the role of nanocolloid and bone scintigraphy in patients with sacroiliitis and to investigate the clinical relevance of imaging findings.

Comparative quality control of 99mTc-Pyrophosphate and 99mTc-diphosphonate radiopharmaceuticals

European Journal of Nuclear Medicine, 1983
The results of analysis of 99mTc-Pyrophosphate (99mPyP), taken as a representative of the group of compounds having an organic P-O-P bond, and of the three diphosphonate compounds: methylene diphosphonate (MDP), 2,3-dicarboxy propane diphosphonate (DPD) and ethane-1-hydroxy-1, 1-diphosphonate (EHDP), which differ in their chemical structure, are shown.

A dichotomy in hepatic uptake of 99mTc-IDA and 99mTc-colloid

Seminars in Nuclear Medicine, 1982
A 60-yr-old man was admitted with a 2-mo history of weight loss, jaundice, and vague abdominal pain. Physical examination revealed hepatomegaly. Laboratory investigation confirmed hepatic dysfunction with significant elevation of alkaline phosphatase and moderate elevation of SGOT and bilirubin.

A clinical comparison of 99mTc-DPD and two 99mTc-MDP agents

European Journal of Nuclear Medicine, 1983
Two hundred and fifty-seven patients were studied with bone-seeking radiopharmaceuticals. They were randomly divided into three groups. Two groups were injected with two different 99mTc-methylene diphosphonates from two manufacturers (MDP 1 and MDP 2) and the third group with 99mTc-dicarboxypropane diphosphonate (DPD). DPD was found to be superior with
