XIAP Stabilizes DDRGK1 to Promote ER‐Phagy and Protects Against Noise‐Induced Hearing Loss
Mechanism of GAS‐mediated protection against noise‐induced hearing loss (NIHL). Noise exposure activates the ATF4/eIF2α axis, downregulating XIAP and promoting DDRGK1 degradation, thereby inhibiting ER‐phagy and leading to hair cell (HC) death. GAS treatment rescues XIAP and DDRGK1 expression, reactivating ER‐phagy to mitigate HC loss, synaptic damage,

Childhood absence epilepsy (CAE) is a common epilepsy syndrome characterized by absence seizures affecting young children and representing 18% of all diagnosed cases of epilepsy in school-age children. Absence seizures are classically very frequent during the day and each seizure lasts a short time, from about 10 to 20 seconds, it ends abruptly, and ...

Complexity of Multi-Channel Electroencephalogram Signal Analysis in Childhood Absence Epilepsy
Absence epilepsy is an important epileptic syndrome in children. Multiscale entropy (MSE), an entropy-based method to measure dynamic complexity at multiple temporal scales, is helpful to disclose the information of brain connectivity.

A Virtual Clinical Trial of Psychedelics to Treat Patients With Disorders of Consciousness
Disorders of consciousness after severe brain injury are marked by reduced complexity of brain activity and limited treatment options. Using personalized whole‐brain models, this study shows that simulated lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and psilocybin shift patient brain dynamics closer to criticality.

Abnormal cortical thickness connectivity persists in childhood absence epilepsy
Childhood absence epilepsy (CAE) is a childhood‐onset generalized epilepsy. Recent fMRI studies have suggested that frontal cortex activity occurs before thalamic involvement in epileptic discharges suggesting that frontal cortex may play an important ...

Hydrogen voltage gated channel 1 (HVCN1) is upregulated in microglia of both ALS patients and its mouse model. HVCN1 deficiency enhances microglial migration via suppressing Akt signaling, promotes neurotrophic capacity and motor function, and prolongs survival of the SOD1G93A ALS mice. This study identifies HVCN1 as a novel, promising druggable target
