Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Mixed effect model for absolute log returns of ultra high frequency data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The influence of covariates on absolute log returns of ultra high frequency data is analysed. Therefore we construct a mixed effect model for the absolute log returns. The parameters are estimated in a state space approach.

The Big-Fish-Little-Pond Effect on the Four Facets of Academic Self-Concept

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2018
The social context plays a decisive role in the formation of the academic self-concept (ASC) and has been widely studied as the big-fish-little-pond-effect (BFLPE). This effect describes that comparable talented students in high-achieving school settings

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Magnetic force microscopy reveals meta-stable magnetic domain states that prevent reliable absolute palaeointensity experiments

open access: yes, 2014
Obtaining reliable estimates of the absolute palaeointensity of the Earth's magnetic field is notoriously difficult. The heating of samples in most methods induces magnetic alteration-a process that is still poorly understood, but prevents obtaining ...

Determination of absolute configuration of photo‐degraded catechinopyranocyanidin A by modified Mosher's method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Catechinopyranocyanidins A and B (cpcA and cpcB) are two purple pigments present in the seed‐coat of red adzuki bean, Vigna angularis , of which cpcA is the major pigment, containing two chiral carbons in the catechin part.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Relative judgment and knowledge of the category structure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
For evenly spaced stimuli, a purely relative judgment account of unidimensional categorization performance is trivial: All that is required is knowledge of the size of stimulus difference corresponding to the width of a category.
