Evaluation of a low cost solid-state accelerometer as a distance measuring sensor for vehicle positioning system [PDF]
This paper describes an evaluation of a low cost, solid state accelerometer as a distance-measuring device. Kalman filter was applied to reduce random noise existing in the sensor. The random bias drift of the accelerometer was found to be 2.5 mg.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

The Clusters AgeS Experiment (CASE). IV. Analysis of the Eclipsing Binary V69 in the Globular Cluster 47 Tuc [PDF]
We use photometric and spectroscopic observations of the eclipsing binary V69-47 Tuc to derive the masses, radii, and luminosities of the component stars.

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

ABSOLUTE DISTANCE MEASUREMENT USING FREQUENCY SCANNING INTERFEROMETRY
Absolute distance measurement is necessary for many applications where the distance to a fixed-target is required. In this paper, frequency scanning interferometry is implemented with an external cavity tunable diode laser, which has a wavelength scanning range of (665-675 nm), to measure distances up to 5 m absolutely (achieved by multi-reflection ...

Absolute distance measurement with an unraveled femtosecond frequency comb [PDF]
We demonstrate the measurement of an arbitrary absolute distance with a mode-resolved frequency comb laser. By resolving the frequency comb modes individually with a virtually imaged phase array (VIPA), thousands of lasers modes are available that can be exploited for massively parallel homodyne interferometry. With this method a non-ambiguity range of

Development of a detector (ALFA) to measure the absolute LHC luminosity at ATLAS [PDF]
The ATLAS collaboration plans to determine the absolute luminosity of the CERN LHC at Interaction Point 1 by measuring the trajectory of protons elastically scattered at very small angles ($\mu rad$).
