METHOD FOR ANALYSING NON-ERGODIC MARKOV SYSTEMS

open access: yesАвтоматизация технологических и бизнес-процессов
. The object of study is a non-ergodic Markov system functioning under conditions when there is a subset of absorbing states among the set of possible states.

A Theoretic Approach for Prolonging Lifetime of Wireless Sensor Networks Based on the Coalition Game Model

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2014
Energy consumption is one of the most important performance measures in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In order to reduce energy consumption, some nodes in the network will work together as a coalition but will not work independently.

Absorbing Cantor sets in dynamical systems: Fibonacci maps

open access: yesAnnals of Mathematics, 1994
In this paper we shall show that there exists a polynomial unimodal map f: [0,1] -> [0,1] which is 1) non-renormalizable(therefore for each x from a residual set, $ (x)$ is equal to an interval), 2) for which $ (c)$ is a Cantor set, and 3) for which $ (x)= (c)$ for Lebesgue almost all x.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Brain Connectivity Dynamics and Mittag–Leffler Synchronization in Asymmetric Complex Networks for a Class of Coupled Nonlinear Fractional-Order Memristive Neural Network System with Coupling Boundary Conditions

open access: yesAxioms
This paper investigates the long-time behavior of fractional-order complex memristive neural networks in order to analyze the synchronization of both anatomical and functional brain networks, for predicting therapy response, and ensuring safe diagnostic ...

Beyond the Maximum Storage Capacity Limit in Hopfield Recurrent Neural Networks

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
In a neural network, an autapse is a particular kind of synapse that links a neuron onto itself. Autapses are almost always not allowed neither in artificial nor in biological neural networks. Moreover, redundant or similar stored states tend to interact

Site-bond representation and self-duality for totalistic probabilistic cellular automata

open access: yes, 2005
We study the one-dimensional two-state totalistic probabilistic cellular automata (TPCA) having an absorbing state with long-range interactions, which can be considered as a natural extension of the Domany-Kinzel model.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Exponential Attractor for the Boussinesq Equation with Strong Damping and Clamped Boundary Condition

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2016
The paper studies the existence of exponential attractor for the Boussinesq equation with strong damping and clamped boundary condition utt-Δu+Δ2u-Δut-Δg(u)=f(x). The main result is concerned with nonlinearities g(u) with supercritical growth.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
