Estimation of AC loss in cylindrical superconductor with ripple current [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The loss energy density (AC loss) in cylindrical superconductor with ripple current based on Irie-Yamafuji model in which the magnetic fiel dependence of critical current density is taken into account is theoretically calculated for design of DC ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Design and Control of Advanced Uninterruptible Power Supplies With SiC MOSFETs for Enhanced Performance and Efficiency

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper proposes a high-performance high-efficiency single-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS), which uses totem pole power factor correction in AC/DC stage and three-level T-type inverter in DC/AC stage.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Field-dependent Behavior of AC Susceptibility in [Y0.8Ca0.2](Ba0.5Sr0.5)2Cu3O7−δ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The AC susceptibility of [Y0.8Ca0.2](Ba0.5Sr0.5)2 Cu3O7−δ was investigated as a function of frequency and amplitude of AC magnetic field. The susceptibilities of the sample display the field amplitude dependence.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.
