Reynolds number dependence of scalar fluctuations in a high Schmidt number turbulent jet [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
The scalar rms fluctuations in a turbulent jet were investigated experimentally, using high-resolution, laser-induced fluorescence techniques. The experiments were conducted in a high Schmidt number fluid (water), on the jet centerline, over a jet ...

Does Academic Commitment Affect the Learners' Progress through Academic Buoyancy? A Structural Equation Model [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Evolutionary and Educational Psychology Journal, 2019
This study aims to test the proposed model of the relationship of some cognitive and motivational variables. The research method was correlational and structural equation modeling. The statistical population consisted of all female highschool students in Bandar Abbas in the academic year of 2018-2019 (1633 students) and the sampling method was multi ...

High‐Power Rapid Laser‐Induced Synthesis of Multi‐functional Cobalt Metal‐Organic Framework With an Unprecedented Synthesis Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Laser‐assisted synthesis enables rapid (within 1 h) and high‐yield (≥90%) production of Co‐MOFs with mesoporous structures, tunable magnetic and optical properties, and efficient adsorption of N2, CH4, and CO2 for low‐energy gas separation. DFT calculations elucidate the electronic structure and adsorption behavior.

Online interaction learning: A way towards sustainability and buoyant EFL students

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Applied Linguistics
The ability of students to deal with common academic difficulties is referred to as academic buoyancy. It can also be described as the capacity of students over obstacles and difficulties that are typical of the everyday school experience.

ASHEE: a compressible, equilibrium-Eulerian model for volcanic ash plumes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A new fluid-dynamic model is developed to numerically simulate the non-equilibrium dynamics of polydisperse gas-particle mixtures forming volcanic plumes. Starting from the three-dimensional N-phase Eulerian transport equations for a mixture of gases and
