Acaricide Resistance in Field-Collected Two-Spotted Spider Mite Tetranychus urticae Koch
Indian Journal of Entomology, 2022Two spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae Koch is an economically serious pest posing threat to major vegetable crops. Roving survey in and around Coimbatore region revealed that farmers do not target mites with acaricides instead they use higher dose ...

Screening of medicinal plants of rwanda for acaricidal activity
Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 1985A series of 108 samples from 42 medicinal plants of Rwanda have been screened for acaricidal activity against the female tick Rhipicephalus appendiculatus. Two plants, Solanum dasyphyllum (fruits) and Neorautanenia mitis (roots) showed apparent acaricidal activity in the petroleum ether fraction.

Synthesis and acaricidal activity of strobilurin-pyrimidine derivatives
Chinese Chemical Letters, 2014Abstract Pyriminostrobin, a new acaricide, was discovered in our previous studies. Because introducing fluorine into organic compounds can increase bioactivity, pyriminostrobin was modified as a series of strobilurin-pyrimidine derivatives for biological screening. The compounds were characterized by 1 H NMR, MS and elemental analysis.

Factors influencing the acaricidal activity of flucycloxuron
Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, 1993AbstractContact activities of flucycloxuron on immature stages of the two‐spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae (Koch)) and the European red mite (Panonychus ulmi (Koch)) gradually decrease in the successive developmental stages. The levels of contact activity of flucycloxuron on larvae and protonymphs of T. urticae and P. ulmi are of the same order.

Acaricide resistance and mechanisms in Tetranychus urticae populations from greenhouses in Turkey
Systematic and Applied Acarology, 2020Turkey has great potential in vegetable production especially in greenhouses. However, plant pests such as Tetranychus urticae Koch can cause significant yield losses with the contribution of suitable climate conditions of greenhouses that allow to fast ...

Acaricidal Activity of Boenninghausenia sessilicarpa Against Panonychus citri
Agricultural Sciences in China, 2009Abstract Acaricidal activity of Boenninghausenia sessilicarpa against Panonychus citri was tested in the laboratory. Four solvents were used to prepare crude extracts, petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and ethanol, among which ethanol was the most effective one. The results suggested that ethanol extracts of B.
