Accelerated containerless creep tests of refractory metals
In the nuclear, military, and aerospace industries, enhancing output and increasing the creep resistance of alloys and metals against high temperatures are critical for ensuring stability and reliability and increasing the thermodynamic efficiency of energy conversion systems.

Accelerating creep of the slopes of a coal mine
Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering, 1987A 249 day long record of the accelerating creep of a slope of an open-pit coal mine is analyzed, using linear regression, to test four creep laws. The Saito and Zavodni and Broadbent laws did not lead to a satisfactory estimation of the time of failure as a range of times of failure satisfied the goodness of fit criteria.

When subjected to a sustained load, jammed colloidal gels can feature some delayed viscoplastic creep deformations. However, due to the long timescale of creep (up to several years), its modeling and, thereby, prediction has remained challenging.

Accelerated Creep Testing of New Creep-Resisting Weld Metals
Welding in the World, 2010New creep-resisting weld metals of P91 grade were manufactured by manual metal arc (MMA) process producing multi-bead multi-layer test coupons, from which specimens were taken for accelerated creep testing on Gleeble physical simulator. The recently developed accelerated creep testing (ACT) procedure on Gleeble allows transforming in a relatively short

Confined-Accelerated Creep Tests to Determine the Creep Reduction Factor
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014The creep characteristics of geogrids is one of the most important factors affecting its permanent in reinforced soil structures. currently, most of the creep tests are under unconfined conditions, the results deviates significantly from the real status in the application . And conventional creep tests are time-consuming and costing. In this paper, time-

Accelerated Creep Testing of Trenchless Liners
New Pipeline Technologies, Security, and Safety, 2003The study's goal was to develop a short term test to predict the time-dependent creep behavior of commercial polymers using both a modified effective time theory (ETT) and time-temperature superposition (TTSP) methods. The results show the TTSP to be an accurate method for determining the shift factors to adjust creep data for temperature changes. Also,

Statistical Aspect in Accelerating Creep and Creep Fracture of OFHC Copper
Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1958A large number of creep rupture tests on OFHC copper wire have been carried out at stress levels of 24.0∼25.0 Kg/mm 2 and temperatures of 8∼40°C. The F-test was made for the differences in variance between time for initiation of accelerating creep and time for rupture measured from the initiation of accelerating creep, and the regression analysis ...

A mathematical model of cyclic creep acceleration
Materials Science and Engineering, 1975Abstract A mathematical model is proposed to explain qualitatively the creep acceleration of materials under cyclic loading. Under constant load, the non-uniformity of the distribution of plastic strains, which increases with loading time, introduces an internal back stress field in the material.

On the reduction of flux creep in superconducting accelerator magnets
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1991The authors have performed intensive studies on flux creep in high-T/sub c/ superconductors and on M transition curves inside the hysteresis area and were able to reduce dM/d ln t at a given B by an order of magnitude by appropriate previous magnetic field cycling. The reduction can be explained by the critical state model.
